Description
When the leaves start turning and the air smells like pumpkin spice, Old Pumpkin Ben takes his seat on the bench looking across the street at the Edmonds Visitor’s Center. He’s not fancy, just a pair of faded jeans, a flannel coat and a sturdy pumpkin head.
Locals say he’s the best listener in town, quiet as can be, always keeping watch over the comings and goings of 5th Street. Ben or as many call him Bennie doesn’t scare crows much anymore. Still, folks and dogs like to stop by and sit next to him, maybe take a picture or share a few quiet minutes enjoying the season.
