Edmonds Serves

“Service is giving of yourself to help others in need!”

Initiative Background

Edmonds Serves is a community-wide initiative designed to celebrate and elevate the everyday acts of service that define the city’s identity, shifting the focus from recognizing a select few individuals to highlighting the many “quiet heroes” who contribute in meaningful ways. Built as a collaborative partnership among organizations such as the City of Edmonds, the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, the Edmonds Historical Museum, the Edmonds Waterfront Center, the National Museum and Center for Service, and others, the initiative invites residents, businesses, nonprofits, and community groups to share visible stories of volunteerism through storefront displays, public spaces, and online platforms. By making service more visible, accessible, and expected, Edmonds Serves aims to inspire broader participation, reinforce a culture of neighbors helping neighbors, and position community service as a central and defining characteristic of life in Edmonds.
