"The Pumpkin Specter of Yost Park" - ID# 63
93 years ago, when George Brackett first ventured inland from Bracketts Landing, he encounter a truly terrifying sight in what is now Yost Park. A Pumpkin headed specter floating though the woods at dusk every night. The specter chased George Brackett back to the beach, where Brackett proclaimed, as he begged for his life, "Spare me O' Pumpkin Spector and thine land of the Western Hill of the Woods shall ever here and henceforth belong to the you, the Pumpkin Specter!" Ever since then, the Pumpkin Specter of Yost Park has haunted the Yost Park neighborhoods, reminding them that the Brackets Proclamation still stands, and the woods belong to the Specter! Read more
