"Coraline" and the "Other Mother" were made from yarn, outgrown clothes, wire, buttons, and other found items by Mary & Lily. With her passport and bags packed, Sally Edmonds is ready for her two-week stay in Hekinan, Japan, made possible through the Edmonds Sister City Commission Student Exchange program. Sally can't wait to experience the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and hospitality of Japan! The Edmonds Sister City Commission, together with the Hekinan Sister City Association, have hosted student exchanges for the past 32+ years. As part of the Student Exchange program Edmonds students’ ages 14-18 exchange homestays with Hekinan students in the same age group for two weeks during the summer.
